Dear Evergreen Garden Club Members,
I do like January because it is a beginning and I like most beginnings - the first sip of a delicious wine, the first sentence in a book I have not read or the first blooms in April. January is a month for planning and dreaming of a garden. The landscape is bare, but it reminds me that Winter “holds miracles and preparation for the Spring ahead.” And so, we begin…..

Learn what makes a United Kingdom garden special! As head of garden tours for the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland and the Horticultural Society of Maryland, our speaker has traveled extensively in England, Scotland, and Wales and will present the Best of the Best of English, Scottish and Irish gardens. Classic iconic gardens, both public and private, such as Sissinghurst and Beth Chatto’s dry garden will be discussed. Images of plants, garden structures, garden design and technics and meadows will be highlighted. From the White House to authoring several gardening books, Claire promises a not to be missed program!
